The CO2 laser machines PRODUCTION series are high quality and robust machines and are perfectly suited for industrial production. The working surface can be automatically raised and lowered by pressing a button. With the built-in height sensor in the laser head, the machine can focus itself fully automatically, so no more manual work. Laser cutting or laser engraving is an ideal process for machining a wide range of materials. The infrared laser melts or evaporates the material, allowing you to cut (high laser power) or engrave (low laser power). During engraving, the laser will evaporate the top layer, changing the surface structure. The CO2 laser machines PRODUCTION series are supplied with a heavy duty industrial air extractor and has the possibility to expand with a rotary module. The PRODUCTION series are suitable for companies looking for a reliable, affordable machine.
The CO2 laser machines PRODUCTION series are perfectly suited for laser engraving a wide range of materials such as wood, leather, textile, glass, glass, mirror and anodised or painted metal materials and a wide range of plastics.

PROFESSIONAL CUTTING AND ENGRAVING FROM SMALL TO LARGE
The CO2 laser machines PRODUCTION series are ideally suited for professional, serial use of serial series cutting and engraving from small to large objects for thicknesses up to 15mm. Laser power ratings range from 60 to 130W. The robust design ensures that the last product in the series looks exactly the same as the first product. The cutting and engraving speed is similar to the PRODUCTION series CO2 laser machines.
The CO2 laser machines PRODUCTION series have a working surface area of 60 x 40cm, 100 x 60cm, 120 x 90cm or 150 x 90cm. The machine is standard delivered with a knife bed on which the cutting or engraving material is placed, but the CO2 laser machines PRODUCTION series can also be supplied with an optional honeycomb bed. A honeycomb bed supports the material better, this is especially useful when cutting flexible materials such as fabrics or regularly making small objects. These small objects remain on the honeycomb bed after cutting.
AUTOMATIC WORKBENCH HEIGHT SETTING
The CO2 laser machines PRODUCTION series are standard equipped with a fully automatic working bed height adjustment. This makes it possible to move the work bed up and down with the push of a button. The height sensor on the laser head detects the distance from the laser head to the workpiece, after which it automatically adjusts to the correct focus height. This has the advantage that after changing material with a different thickness, the machine automatically adjusts itself completely automatically. No more manual adjustment and always the right focus height. Especially when working with different material thicknesses on a regular basis, this is a very convenient and time-saving function.
EASY TO OPERATE
On the full graphic display, you can easily prepare a laser job and follow the progress graphically during cutting or engraving. This controller has a very good error handling which makes the machine easy to use for (non-technical) beginners, but also for advanced users.
You can prepare the laser job using the supplied laser software. The Laserworks laser software is easy to install and works without dongle, so you can quickly switch between computers. Laser Works works on all Windows operating systems. This software allows you to work in multiple layers with separate settings in each layer, making combined jobs with multiple engraving or cutting settings a lot easier. For laser cutting, you can import your digital design in vector format (e.g. ai or dxf) or create simple designs directly in the laser software. For laser engraving, you can import photos and images directly into the laser software. The enclosed English language manual describes in detail how to operate the laser software and controller.
The CO2 laser machines PRODUCTION series are supplied with an industrial air extraction system to remove vapour and dust released during laser welding. Air compressor which ensures that the lens and laser head remain clean for as long as possible and industrial water cooler which ensures that the laser tube remains cooled during laser cutting. All you need to do is install the machine, power outlet 230VAC and return air duct (100mm).
LASER SAFETY AND CE CERTIFICATION
MetaQuip closed CO2 laser machines comply with laser class 1. This was measured and recorded in measurement reports prepared by an independent laser safety authority. This means that closed CO2 machines can always be used safely without additional protection as in class 4 machines. A large number of devices on the market do not comply in any way with CE or laser safety requirements and are therefore by definition unsafe. FDA and ISO certification do not apply to the safety of your laser machine. You run the risk of exposing your operator or a bystander to harmful laser light, resulting in serious burns or blindness.
The MQ404040 LITE complies with all applicable CE machine directives and laser safety standards. The MQ404040 LITE is a class 1 laser device, which means that under normal conditions of use, no one can be exposed to laser radiation. When the laser is opened, all lasers are switched off immediately and the current laser job is interrupted. Safety first.
Instead of the standard knife bed, use a honeycomb bed so that materials can be laid flat and small objects remain on the work surface.
Depending on the material you process, harmful substances and gases may be released during the laser process. In addition, there are a number of materials that cause serious odour nuisance and it is not always possible to achieve an air outlet to the outside. In such cases, it is possible to use an industrial air filter. They remove harmful gases, dust and odours from the air. The filtered air is then blown back into the room.
In order to always get good engravings, photos and pictures must be converted to an on/off pattern with which the laser can handle. This also depends on the material used. In the supplied laser software there are a number of simple features, however, when engraving more often the use of a program like PhotoGrav is recommended. With PhotoGrav you have a perfect engraving every time.
If you want to cut many curved objects from plastic such as acrylic, it may be interesting to replace the standard step motors with servo motors. When cutting curves with a servo motor, the edge is smoother and slightly smoother than with a stepper motor. This effect is not visible in other materials such as wood and leather.
Long service life – ultimate spot quality
MetaQuip MQ1060 Production CO2 laser machine is also available with metal tube instead of a standard glass CO2 laser tube. The big advantage is that the aluminium construction makes for a much better thermal heat household, which means that the service life is much longer than with a glass pipe. On average, this is about 4-6 years of continuous use before replacement is needed.
A metal tube has a better spot quality because it can be pulsed at a higher frequency, which gives a superior grid quality that can be seen especially in detailed engraving work. In addition, a metal tube is less vulnerable than a glass laser tube.
Laptop with pre-installed laser software
With this CO2 laser machine it is possible to order a laptop with pre-installed laser software, so you can be sure that everything works well.
Desktop Machinery supplies various service contracts so that in case of a problem you can be operational again within an agreed period of time. In addition, Desktop Machinery also offers the possibility to do the maintenance of your laser machine.
With the optional rotary table, also engrave or mark cylindrical objects (bottles, glasses, tubes). The rotary table rotates automatically.
Vision camera system
The PRODUCTION series can also be expanded with a vision camera system. This can identify patterns and then cut them out in that place. Think for example of embroidered labels that need to be cut freely. The laser recognizes the pattern and then cuts the label fully automatically.

DELIVERY TIME & SHIPPING
If this machine is not in stock, the delivery time is normally between 8-12 weeks. Ask for the current stock. Faster is possible at extra cost. This machine can be picked up (free of charge) or is delivered and installed for a fixed rate. As a standard we assume delivery on the ground floor without stairs and doorways through which the laser machine can pass on its wheels. Delivery costs depend on distance and accessibility of the delivery location. In addition to delivery and installation, MetaQuip can also provide product training on location based on your wishes.

The following applies to CO2 laser tubes with respect to warranty:
- The Supplier continuously tests these pipes at 80% power in lab conditions, constant temperature.
- At these test conditions, a theoretical service life of 1500 – 2000 hours (40W & 60W tube) and 6000 to 8000 hours (80-100-130-130-150 W tube) is achieved.
- In actual use, this service life will be shorter because of the following deviating operating conditions compared to the previously described test conditions of Supplier:
- The tube is often switched on/off.
- The tube is not used on a continuous 80%.
- Therefore, under normal conditions of use, these hours are translated by MetaQuip into 6 (40-60W) and 9 (80-100-130-130-150 W) months guarantee respectively.
